SOLAR ROOFTOP SYSTEMS
Arka Solutions Private Limited provides you with the following options for generation of power on your rooftops. These designs meet and exceed the government specifications. We also work closely with ministry to provide you with the available subsidy:
  • Grid Synchronized System for captive consumption
  • Off Grid Battery Back Up Stand Alone System
  • Off Grid Battery Back up Centralized system for Common Area Lighting
A) Grid Synchronised system:
This system is ideal for an organization where a) Power is expensive b) maximum power usage is during day time and c) There are few power outages.

Here the electricity generated on the roof top through Solar PV modules can be directly fed into the building level grid with the help of a reliable grid-tied inverter. The solar power synchronizes with the grid power network. There is no storage of power. Minimum size recommended for institutional customers starts from 10 KWp and can go up to 500 KWp. In some states there is a policy of “Net Metering” where surplus power is fed into the grid.
The above system is ideal for: Industries, commercial offices, educational institutes, ware-houses, hospitals etc.
B) Off Grid system with battery backup:
These systems are recommended for establishments which face frequent power outages. This is also well suited for farm houses, hostels and individual residences. Our objective here is to replace DG set with Solar.

This system is best for catering to the single phase light loads (lights, fans, TV, Computers, coolers etc) and has necessary battery backup. The solar power is used to charge the batteries. In parallel the surplus power caters to the non peak loads during day. In case of power cuts, the battery provides uninterrupted power. We provide systems with different back up capacities depending on your needs. For residences, subsidy is till 1 KW and for non residential use subsidy is applicable for up to 100 KW systems.
 C) Off Grid system with battery backup for common area lighting:

These systems are recommended for residential apartments where concern is to reduce the monthly electricity bill for common areas and ensure un-interrupted power.
Common areas include street lamps, basement parking lights, lobby lights, garden lights etc. Here we first help you reduce the load side of power by replacing conventional lamps by LEDs. We then work on the supply side. The pre-agreed load is powered using a centralized solar plant with batteries on the rooftop. The system operates from Dusk to Dawn. These centralized solar plants are easy to maintain and are more efficient than “stand alone” Solar lights.

All the above three systems are not only much more cost-effective; they are also user friendly and require almost negligible maintenance during the module life of more than 20 years. Clubbed with the fiscal benefits available in terms of government subsidies and accelerated depreciation, one can achieve break-even on their investments in a quick time and after that enjoy almost free power.

POWER SAVING LEDs
LEDs are ideal for glow sign boards, offices, hospitals, classrooms, warehouses, shop floors, streetlights and basement lights.
They have the following advantages over conventional lamps.
  • LEDs provide same or more illumination but at a fraction
    of the power consumption.
  • They have much longer life (over 50,000 hours) as
    compared to conventional light source.
  • For institutions, where lights are used for 10-12 hours or more,
    the payback period of a LED based tube light is less than 1-2 years.

SOLAR WATER PUMPING SOLUTIONS.
This Solution for water pumping (submersible or surface mounted) where there are frequent power outages and there is no option but to run diesel pump sets. We supply entire system with new pumps. We also retrofit existing pumps with Solar system with manual and automated trackers.
